Know your rights shopping online or in-store with us by going to ACCC’s website. As an Australian owned and operated company, Timbecon Pty Ltd ABN 80 601 953 682 (represented below as Timbecon) will at a minimum always conform to all applicable Australian laws. However, we will strive to provide you with service that exceeds your expectations and are left satisfied with your experience.

Credit Card Payments

The Timbecon website uses industry-leading 256-bit credit card encryption technology and processes all credit payments using the PayPal gateway processing system. This means that your account is debited at the time of placing the order for the full order value as seen in the checkout.

If a refund needs to be performed by Timbecon for an online order, this will either be processed directly through PayPal’s online portal or we will perform a direct deposit to your nominated bank account. At no time does Timbecon receive the full credit card details for your online purchases.

If you order over the phone, Timbecon enter your credit card details directly into our processing system where the payment will be processed immediately and no credit card details will be kept on file. If we need to perform a refund for a phone order, we will contact you at the time of processing the refund and enter your credit card details immediately so that we do not to store your card details.

Other Methods of Payment

You are able to select Direct Deposit, PayPal, Oxipay or Lombards Interest-Free as legitimate payment methods online.

Direct Deposit

If you select direct deposit, we will list the paying bank account details in the check-out process and this is also included in the email confirmation that is sent to you once the order has been finalized online. Timbecon will ship the order once payment has cleared in our bank account. Please ensure that you put your last name and order ID in the description that we will see when checking our bank statement.

PayPal

If you are paying by PayPal then the payment is governed by PayPal's terms and conditions of buying online. PayPal offer leading consumer protection for payments. We receive immediate notification of a successful PayPal payment being made as soon as it is completed by you with PayPal so we will dispatch your order as soon as we are able after the order has come through to us.

Humm

Humm is an interest-free payment option where the total order value is split into either five or ten fortnighly instalments. The first instalment is payable once your order is dispatched with the remaining payments occurring every fortnight after the first payment. Humm is available only to approved applicants and the application process occurs throughout the checkout process with instant approvals. Click here for more information on Humm.

Interest-Free

Twelve Months Interest-Free is only available for purchases of more than $1,500 to approved applicants. By selecting the Interest-Free payment method in the checkout process, you are indicating that you wish to gain approval for this. You can automatically start the approval process and find out more information by clicking here and getting more information. Once we receive the order we will be in touch to assist with the approval process.

Prices

All online prices are correct at the time of ordering. Any prices quoted over the phone will be correct at the time of ordering. If we discover any price discrepancy after you have placed your order over the phone that we cannot honour, you will be contacted to confirm the price change before shipping your order.

Backorders

If we are out of stock of any item, we will calculate the total weight of your order as if it was shipped together with other items and charge you the freight cost calculated. This means that the cost of shipping your backorder will be covered in only one payment to us.

If you cancel your backorder, we will calculate the difference between the goods received and the freight charged and if any refund for freight is necessary, we will process this at the same time as the refund for the goods.

We will continue to provide you with regular updates on the status of your backorder arrival every fortnight if nothing has changed or more regularly as required. You can choose to cancel your backorder any time before we ship it to you.

Availability

Generally all items that are advertised on the website are either in stock or able to be sourced within a short period of time (1-2 working days). If any items are expected to be out of stock for an extended period of time, we will mark this on the website. Please refer to the section above on our method of handling backorders.

Weights

All weights shown in any advertising by Timbecon may not be the true product weights but are a value shown to calculate freight costs. In some cases products can occupy a large volume relative to weight and therefore the true product weight may be overstated. If you wish to know the actual weight to any item, please contact us.

Specifications

Measurements and specifications are supplied as an approximate guide. We take all care to ensure that information is accurate and if it is found that we have made a material mistake that stops you from being able to use it as advertised, we will pay the return freight and offer a full refund for the goods and freight cost to ship that item to you.

All items shown in pictures or illustrations with the main product are deemed to be accessories or props and are not included in the sale price of the main item unless expressly stated.

Suitability

You must satisfy yourself that the suitability of the product for its intended use prior to purchasing any product. While Timbecon can offer advice and show how a product is used, it is ultimately your responsibility to ensure that the product is used correctly.

Timbecon cannot be held liable for any damage or loss to any persons and/or property from the lack of training necessary to use any product. It is up to the user to ensure that they are capable and have the necessary skill to use any products sold by Timbecon.

It is also the customer’s responsibility to ensure they have an adequate and properly connected electrical supply capable of running the machine(s) they wish to buy.  Any warranty claim will be denied in all cases where extension cords and/or powerboards are deemed to have contributed to the failure of any electrical or electronic component of the machine.  The same exclusion will apply where the machine is connected to the incorrect voltage and/or amperage designated for the machine and/or if the machine is used for anything other than what it was designed and built to do.

Warning

Woodworking machines and tools are potentially dangerous. The user of the products should take every precaution while using the products to avoid personal injury and/or property damage. This includes, but is not limited to, the use of personal protective equipment, electrical safety precautions, inhaling dust particles. Items are used at your own risk.

Government Taxes

All prices on this website include the 10% Australian Goods and Services tax.  All customer orders shipped within Australia include GST and a tax invoice matching the ATO's requirements are shipped with the goods.

Zero Tolerance of Aggression and Threats

Timbecon works to provide and safe and respectful place of work for our employees and store for our customers. 

Any behaviour verbal or physical, which causes staff or customers to feel uncomfortable, embarrassed or threatened, is totally unacceptable.

The Zero Tolerance policy includes aggression or threats made in person, over the telephone, online or in written communication. Timbecon considers threatening behaviour to be:

  • Attempted or actual aggressive threatening physical actions made towards any member of staff or other customer.
  • The use of aggressive, threatening or abusive language, (including raising of the voice, swearing and cursing, shouting) which threatens or intimidates staff or other customers.

This policy applies throughout the premises. It also applies to any employee or partner away from the store but only in so far as it relates to the business.

Any instance or threat of physical abuse will be reported to the police. The offender will be removed from the premises by the police. The customer will then be removed from our system and banned from future dealings. Online violations of this policy will also see the customer being blocked and banned from all Timbecon social media.
