The SRM-1000 Round Body Motor
Sherwood SRM-1000 Round Body Router Motor is an industrial grade variable speed motor. It features a 10A motor with a maximum output of 1000W (1.4HP). It is supplied with a 1/4in and 1/2in chuck collet, and using the ER-20 collet system, this router motor will accept a very broad range of router bits. Router Lift & Mounting Plate
Machined from 9.5mm thick anodized aluminium, the mounting plate is checked for flatness for a perfectly smooth surface closest to the bit. The RLIFT-6 features a two-pillar design with a sturdy and secure motor cradle, machined from a single piece of alloyed metal. With basic maintenance, this router lift won’t ever stick or skew providing you with years of smooth operation.
Featuring an American standard 298x235mm mounting plate, it will fit into all Sherwood router tables, and other market standard router tables. Six grub screws installed along the edges of the mounting plate ensure a perfectly level fit on the lip of the router table. The included starter pin can be mounted either to the left or the right of the bit.
The height of the router cradle is adjusted above the table using the supplied height adjustment winder handle. The winder has a smooth action with no backlash, and the plate also features a micro-adjustment dial to complete your routing bit settings accurately. A locking mechanism ensures there is no height deviation as you’re working. No more fumbling underneath to get that right bit height.

Insert Rings
Included are five different insert rings made from industrial grade plastic that does not flex or warp. These minimise the gap around your router bit to eliminate vibration and increase accuracy. The insert rings feature a twist lock design using the included steel insert ring spanner, meaning they are held firmly in position in line with the surrounding surface.
The 5 insert rings measure 97.85mm in diameter with the following aperture openings:
- 3/8in (9.5mm)
- 1in (25.4mm)
- Guide Bushing: 1-3/8in (35mm)
- 1-7/8in (47.6mm)
- 2-5/8in (66.7mm)

Precise height adjustment
The height of the router cradle is adjusted above the table using the supplied height adjustment winder handle – no more fumbling underneath to get that right bit height. The winder has a smooth action with no backlash, as well as a micro-adjustment dial to complete your routing bit settings very accurately. A locking mechanism ensures there is no height deviation as you’re working.
Micro-adjustment dial
Each time the crank handle is fully rotated, it changes the height of the router bit by +-1/20in (1.27mm), which equals the distance change of one thread. Zero out the height settings of your router bit by locking the height adjustment and dialling the micro-adjustment gauge to “0”.
Mounting plate insert rings

Mounting plate levelling
The Sherwood RLIFT-6 features six levelling grub screws and two hold fixing bolts. Use the levelling screws to align your router lift perfectly flush with your router table work surface. Fix into position permanently with the two hold down bolts.
USA standard sizing
The Sherwood Router Table range uses the North American industry-standard size 298 x 235mm. This means it can be used in other USA-standard tables such as Kreg, Incra, JessEm etc.
Compatible with the Milescraft Metal Bushing Set
The RLIFT-6 is supplied with a specific “Guide Bushing” insert ring of 1-3/8in (35mm), making it compatible with Milescraft Metal Bushing Sets. Available as either a Metric set MC-1278, or as an Imperial set MC-1228, these bushes are invaluable accessory for your router setup. Use to complete template routing, dovetailing, sign making and inlay routing. Bushing sizes include:
- MC-1228 - 5/16in, 3/8in, 7/16in, 1/2in, 5/8in, 3/4in and 51/64in
- MC-1278 - 10mm, 13mm, 17mm, 20mm, 24mm, 27mm and 30mm
Dual Start Pin location
Dual starter pin mounting holes means it can be mounted either to the left or the right of the bit.
Save your knees
Use the height adjustment winder to set the depth smoothly and accurately. Wind the motor up and change the bit above the worktable. You won’t ever need to crouch down to access under the worktable.
