Helical cutter head

This Sherwood 10in Lift-Up Combination Planer features a helical cutter head. The inserts are made from tungsten carbide and have four sharp sides. When one side becomes blunt or damaged, the insert can be rotated to a fresh side. Aftern all four sides are used, the insert is replaced. Helical heads are quieter and leave a better finish on figured timbers than straight bladed heads.

Easy mode changeover

The Sherwood 10in Lift-Up Combination Planer is very easy and quick to change from planer mode to thicknesser mode. Release the two worktable locking handles. Lift the one-piece worktable. Lower the thicknessing worktable and flip the dust port into position. Go! And because the worktable is made as one piece, no additional alignment or tuning is required.

Aluminium fence and Euro blade guard

The aluminium fence is long, tall and hard fixes in position via two locking handles. The European styled blade guard is easily adjusted and provides you with maximum protection when using such a wide blade machine. Plane with confidence on your Sherwood 10in combo.
