Wood Splitter Drawknife

Eligible for FREE Shipping*

Made by Mora of Sweden this double handled draw knife is ideal for removing long strips of wood or bark when preparing wood for carving. The double handle design gives excellent control when used for removing or splitting timber from your projects.

They are also used for splitting larger pieces of wood down. They have oiled birchwood handles which are contoured for grip and come supplied with a plastic blade guard.

The blade length is 106mm and is made from high quality Triflex steel which is a tempered steel that has a harder cutting edge and a softer spine. It offers excellent edge retention and is easy to resharpen.

Specifications -

Overall Length: 365 mm
Blade Length: 115 mm
Blade Thickness: 2.50 mm
Style: Hidden Tang
Steel: High Carbon Steel
Hardness:  HRC
Handle: Birch Wood
Weight:  155 Grams
Made in: Sweden

NOTE FROM MANUFACTURER:

"Any rust that is formed on the blade is because of the soft iron at the side of the blade and the higher content of carbon in the steel that is used. The soft laminated steel is highly desirable for woodworking, and Morakniv are the only company that produce it."

We recommed the use of camelia oil as a rust preventative oil that should be regularly used on these knives.
