Tecbond 23 is a medium viscosity, synthetic polymer-based hot melt that is used as a multi-purpose adhesive. It bonds well with wood, fabric, and a variety of plastics. It works on a variety of substrates making it a well-rounded hot melt product usable in many applications, though it shines in woodworking or assembly projects that involve paper, wood and light metal or plastics. 

Tecbond Hot Melt Glue Sticks

Tecbond Hot Melt Glue Sticks are 100% solid, non-toxic adhesives containing no solvents, VOCs or water. Forget about odours or mould in finished products, or about paying for a solvent that just evaporates. Tecbond hot melt adhesives are safe and easy to store, and have a virtually unlimited shelf life.

The molten adhesive is applied to one of the surfaces to be bonded. When the parts are pressed together the heat quickly dissipates into the substrates, which solidifies the adhesive, and a bond or seal is made instantly.

Working times vary from just a few seconds to several minutes: the actual time will depend on adhesive formulation, ambient temperature, substrate temperature, and the amount and configuration of the adhesive applied.

They have excellent adhesion to most materials, including wood, ceramics, light gauge metals and many plastics, such as rigid PVC, polystyrene, ABS and acrylic.

Environmentally Friendly

Hot melt adhesives are a clean, affordable bonding solution that produce little to no waste. Hot melts are used completely in the bond: there is no solvent, water or other chemicals that need to be packaged, transported, and or are released as the adhesive sets. Any unused adhesive in application equipment is simply remelted when the equipment is turned back on. Non-toxic, with no airborne chemicals or solvents, hot melts are kinder to both people and planet than many other kinds of adhesive technology.
