This Torquata Scroll Chuck is not supplied with an insert adapter. Rather than the need to have to pay for a separate adapter this chuck is machined with an M30 x 3.5TPI thread cut directly into the body of the chuck. This thread is found on all current Sherwood and most other lathes sold in Australia by other brands.

The Torquata 100mm Scroll Chuck

This scroll chuck is a total work holding solution for woodturning. The Torquata 100mm Scroll Chuck comes with a set of pre-fitted dovetail jaws. The back of the chuck features a 24-position indexing plate. The chuck has an M30 x 3.5TPI thread, so it will fit most modern lathes out of the box, without the need for an adapter. There is a woodworm screw included as well. The chuck comes neatly packaged in a tough cardboard box with tools. This bright steel precision machined scroll chuck set is the perfect for anyone who wants to turn just about anything.

Fitted indexing plate

Your Scroll Chuck features a fitted indexing plate. It has 24 numbered positions set out at 15-degree intervals. Each position has a pin hole in the back of the plate and a slot in the side of the plate. An indexing attachment can then be used to add decorative features to a spindle or bowl at set intervals.

Secure grip

The Torquata 100mm Scroll Chuck has a super secure grip. Use the T-handled chuck spanner to wind on the pressure. Fix to your project hard either by expansion or contraction depending on your choice of jaws.

Hardened steel jaws

The four interchangeable steel jaws fix easily and securely to the hardened steel jaw sliding mechanisms. The interchangeable jaws are easily and quickly changed out to suit the work at hand. The fully enclosed scrolling gear means it will run smooth and not get clogged with shavings.
