The Magswitch Drill Press Fence is the sturdy and versatile Drill Press Fence perfect for both the enthusiast and hobby maker alike.

In the words of the Drill Press Pro’s designer Andrew Klein:

“It’s just a big solid piece of machined steel bolted to two mag jigs to your steel drill press table. These are high end tools. A beefy piece of steel with tight machining tolerances and three magnets.”

The Magswitch Drill Press Fence features a solid steel fence that firmly attaches to any ferrous metal worktable via its two adjustable mag jig switches. When working, the Magswitch Drill Press Fence is fast and easy to set to any position. Simply release the mag jigs, slide into position and re-engage the switches.

The Magswitch Drill Press Fence is supplied with an Angled Stop Block that also features its own mag jig switch. Easily position the Stop Block in anywhere along the full height and length of the steel fence with a simple twist. Use the Angled design of the Stop Block to work with mitred and complex shaped sections of material.

Features and Benefits

Powerful magnets allow quick positioning and fine adjustment of the fence and make it easy to remove and store when a fence is not needed.

Magnets can be positioned at different points on the fence for optimal placement on drill press tables.

The sturdy vertical plate will not interfere with the drill chuck, even when drilling holes close to the fence, and can be used as a bandsaw resaw fence.

Stop block that can be quickly positioned flush with the drill press table or sacrificial material under the workpiece and can be stored out of the way when it is not needed.

The steel fence plate is 330mm long by 63mm high and 11mm thick (13 x 2 1/2 x 7/16 inches).

Store by simply attaching to the back of the drill press with the magnets activated.

Assembly Advice

Use the 3mm Allen key provided to attach Mag Jig magnets anywhere along the fence (2 screws per magnet).

For larger tables, the ideal magnet position is 50 – 75mm from the edge of the table with the fence centred. This allows from an off-centre positioning of the fence for operations that benefit from the taller fence section directly behind the bit.

For smaller tables the ideal magnet position is close to the edges of the table to maximise the holding power of the magnets.

The Stop block can be stored out of the way on any ferrous metal surface. The user may find that the back side of the fence provides a convenient and out of the way place to store the stop block.
