In 2024 Narex celebrated their 105th anniversary since Vaclav Richter founded their factory and started producing quality tools for woodworkers. To celebrate this occasion they have introduced a very special anniversary set of their popular marking knives.

These beautiful knives feature blades made from AISI 420 corrosion resistant stainless steel hardened and tempered to HRC 57.  Each blade has a dual-bevel 55-degree spear point tip ground by CNC, with a 25-degree edge grind on both bevels.

The blades measure 0.75 mm, 1.2 mm and 2.5 mm thick. Thinner blades provide more precise markings, while thicker blades offer greater durability. They are the perfect tools for making marks in narrow recesses, such as when transferring pins/tails marks during dovetailing.

The handles are made from figured dyed maple that has been hand sanded and polished, with each scale attached to the blade via two brass pins. The square handle profile prevents these knives from rolling off the bench.

These knives may require just a light stropping to get them razor sharp and ready to use. 

The set comes packaged in a luxury paper box with foam padding, and carries Narex’s original “RICHTER (R) EXTRA” logo. Available while stocks last.
