Torquata compression single flute spiral CNC router bits

The up and down cut action of these compression CNC bits cuts from base up and the surface down ensuring that you have a perfectly clean edge. A compression cutter starts with an up-cut component usually the length of the diameter. For example, a 3mm bit has a 3mm up cut component and the rest to down cut. To achieve the full benefit of the cutter, your first plunge must go below that length of 3mm or more.

Compression bits are designed to cut in a single pass, however, if your CNC cannot handle that depth of cut you can make multiple passes, ensure that first pass is below the upcut portion of the bit. Compression cutters run faster than other router bits to achieve the best finish along the edge of your material.

Applications

This 1/8in shank twin flute compression CNC router bits are designed for when a perfectly clean edge both top and bottom is required. They are ideal for slot cutting and other trenching applications. Suitable for routing hard and soft woods, plywood and composite materials. They should not be used to bore holes.
