Luban’s Mini Pin Awl: The Ideal Marking Tool for All Makers

The ‘mini’ versions of some tools are too small to use. That’s not the case with Luban’s Mini Pin Awl. It sits in the hand beautifully, giving you perfect control when scribing your cut lines or drill centres. The ideal marking tool for all makers, whether you are working with wood, metals, plastics or almost any other material.

Clean Lines

Awls are generally used for scribing saw or chisel cut lines with the grain. When used across the grain, the narrow versions tend to tear the surface and give a less clean result. However, Luban’s Pin Awl has a wider, conical point that is made from smooth HSS. The result is a tool that can be angled back and dragged across the grain, giving a clean line by denting the wood rather than tearing it.

Fine Control

The handle is made from fine-grained bubinga. It is nice and comfortable when being pushed with the palm of the hand to make a point mark. You can also achieve excellent control by holding the awl like a pen, allowing you to place your mark exactly where you need it.

Specifications:

  • Body material: High Speed Steel
  • Hardness of Body : 63 HRc
  • Handle: Bubinga
  • Weight: 82gms
