These SUEHIRO multiform waterstone is ideal for sharpening all sorts of carving tools including U-gouges, triangular tools and flats. These waterstones are very hard so the shape of the profile is maintained in the stone. Included with the stone is an eraser to keep the stone clean from filings produced when sharpening. These waterstones are seated on a rubber base for stability when sharpening.

These SUEHIRO multiform carvers waterstones are available in three useful grits. 280 grit for removing nicks and chips from tool steels quickly and easily. 1000 grit for sharpening and 3000 grit for honing. About waterstones

Waterstones require water to function, so soak your waterstone in water before use. Water will penetrate the stone matrix and help to form a ‘sharpening slurry’ as the stone wears during use. It’s ok to allow your stone to dry out when not in use.
