This self-clamping jig comes with everything needed to rout hinge and latch mortises onto new doors. The self-clamping feature holds the HingeJig™ in place while routing without the use of screws or nails that can leave holes in a finished door. 

Unique Self-Clamping Design with Built-in Storage

The design of the HingeJig eliminates the need for multiple inserts to rout different hinge corner radiuses. The padded clamp design sets up quickly and prevents damage to doors caused by mounting screws or nails. The Jig contains built in storage compartments for the router bit and available self-centering hinge bit (not included) for convenient retrieval.

Built in Depth Setting and Self-Guided Router Bit

Set the router bit depth with built-in depth setting gauge for smaller or larger size door hinges. The custom router bit with ball bearing delivers a clean cut with smooth door hinge mortises.

Fits All Doors and suits Multiple Hinge Sizes

Adjustable settings allow door hinge jig to be used on all standard size 1-3/8in and 1-3/4in thick doors. Routs hinge mortises for 2-1/2in to 4-1/2in hinges. 

Rout Different Radiuses and Create Latch Plate Mortises

Cut professional hinge mortises with 1/4in, 5/8in, or square corners (chisel required). Kit includes templates to rout common door latch mortises sized 1in x 2-1/4in, 1-1/8in x 2-1/4in , and 1-1/8in x 2-3/4in.
