The Sherwood 20in Industrial Bandsaw is a work horse. The three-phase 3000W 4HP induction motor powers the blade at 1500 meters per minute, allowing for fast feed rates in hard timbers. Precision-balanced, heavy cast iron wheels contribute significant rotational inertia, smoothing out variations in motor load. All that momentum is brought to a halt, if necessary, with the twin electronic and mechanical brakes.

American-Style Blade Guides 

The Sherwood 20in Industrial Bandsaw features upper and lower solid American-style bearing blade guides. These smooth-running blade guides are easy to adjust and very durable. Just tune your bandsaw and go. The top blade guide assembly runs on a rack and pinion assembly.

Cast Iron Wheels

Cast wheels are heavier. And if the wheels are heavier, you will have more inertia. This is great when handling peak loads on the blade. In other words, the heavier wheels will help get you through the toughest of cuts.

Deep Cuts

The Sherwood 20in Industrial Bandsaw offers a full 305mm cutting height and a massive 480mm throat, or maximum width of cut. Matched with the powerful 3000W motor, you can now complete deep rips and block work effortlessly.

Sturdy rip fence

The Sherwood 20in Industrial Bandsaw features a 150mm high sturdy Hi-Lo rip fence as standard. This fence features two T track slots and a quick-lock handle. For rip cuts in overhanging profiles or for when thick stock is regularly used, the fence can be rotated 90 degrees and used in the Lo position. The fence is easily removed and stored to make full use of the whole worktable. 

Cast worktable with mitre slots

The cast iron worktable reduces vibration and allows the use of magnetic accessories. The mitre slot is a full size at 19 x 9.5mm. Perfect for using a mitre slide, cross-cut sled or installing feather boards and other accessories.

Twin dust ports

The Sherwood 20in HD features two 102mm (4in) dust ports. One is located at the base of the machine, the other just below the worktable and lower blade guides. This keeps both the interior of your bandsaw and the floor of your workshop dust free.

Safety Double Brake

The Sherwood 20in HD features a braked motor as well as a foot brake. The motor brake brings the blade to a quick stop, but if extra stopping power is required, simply depress the foot brake and bring the machine to a dead stop immediately. Great if you get into trouble - or if you need to answer the phone!
