The VFD allows continuously variable speed control anywhere from 0 to 3000 rpm. Dial right into the sweet spot for any given operation with fingertip adjustment of the spindle speed across two speed ranges, without having to open the pulley cover and wrestle with v-belts. You’re capable of tiny incremental changes to adjust for variations in timber hardness or bit sharpness. Shift from ultra-fast for tiny bits to super-slow for huge Forstners or steel drilling.
